We are glad to announce that young basketball players joined BC "Prometey". In addition, the coaching staff included Oleksandr Pashchenko, Vadym Matiukevych and physical training coach Oleksandr Medvid. These specialists will work mainly with young players who will join training process with the main team in Riga, where the team will prepare for the new season. Let us remind, "Prometey" will participate in the EuroCup, the championship of Ukraine and the Latvian-Estonian league.

About Oleksandr Pashchenko, we can safely say that he is one of the best Ukrainian coaches at working with youth, and if to pay attention to the fact that half of the players of the National team cut their teeth under his coaching in Yuzhny, then, without being too humble, we can say that he is #1 in his job.

Vast majority of fans remember Vadym Matiukevych as a player of BC "Kyiv", "Kryvbasbasket", "Dnipro", "Sumykhimprom", "Mykolayiv", "Khimik", "Ferro-ZNTU", "Hoverla". He also played in Belarus and Kazakhstan. Vadym ended his playing career in the 2020/2021 season in Odesa, where he actually started his professional way in 1998, and became the champion of Ukraine in the very first season. Now Matiukevych will transfer his 23-year playing experience to young basketball players.

As for youngsters, there are basketball players among them who are already familiar to our club from BC "Prometey-2-DDTU", such as: Maksym Bezyma, Mykhailo Bublyk, Danyil Pyrohov and Ihor Klimov.
