The rematch between MBK-NIKO-2-SDYSSOR-4 and our Promeey-2-DDTU had nothing to do with yesterday’s one. Already in a debut of a match it became obvious that Mykolyiv carried out good work on errors and came to game extremely charged. In the first quarter, the leadership passed several times from one team to another, each of which had its own leader. Mykolayiv player Oleksiy Kochura and Bohdan Bryniuk scored 12 points each in 10 minutes, and the team went to the first break with a minimal advantage of Prometey-2-DDTU - 24:23. This handicap of the "red and whites" could have been bigger, but our team did very poorly on free throws, using only 2 attempts out of 7. With this component, unfortunately, not everything was good in further.
In the second quarter, the team from the banks of the Southern Bug almost everything flew from the perimeter - 4 accurate shots out of 5 for a quarter, and the hosts who scored were 4 different players - Kochura, Zaitsev, Tovkach and Pashkevich. This allowed "MBK-2-NIKO-SDYSSOR-4" in one of the moments of the game to lead with an advantage of 7 points (37:30). However, Bohdan Bryniuk continued to beat his opponents in different "paint". Before the long break, he had a fantastic 25 points and thanks to his last accurate hit "Prometey-2-DDTU" went to rest with a minimum advantage of 2 points (42:40).
In the third quarter, Prometey-2-DDTU finally got three-point shots (Maxim Bezyma, Pavlo Gorobchenko, Daniil Gorkovenko), but for a long time our team did not manage to break away from the opponent. Moreover, in the middle of the quarter the fourth foul was received by Bogdan Bryniuk, and Dmitry Markov had to put him temporarily on a bench. At this moment players of a back line of a team Igor Klimov and Pavel Gorobchenko managed to prove themselves perfectly, and 7 points in a row by the former Mykolayiv player Vladislav Orzul allowed visitors to go to the last break at more or less comfortable handicap - 69:60.
Unfortunately, this advantage quickly melted away in the debut of the final ten minutes. After the "end-one" performed by Tovkach, it decreased to 2 points (74:72). Before the last five minutes, due to five fouls, Daniil Pirohov ended the match ahead of schedule, but Bohdan Bryniuk was already on the field. His rebound on opponent’s backboard, block shot and 2 points at the right time were useful to our team. The hosts were clearly exhausted for the final part of the match and "Prometey-2-DDTU" managed to bring the match to victory, the second in this paired round.
