-On the eve of the game, I told my players: if you want to confront this Italian team, you have to play at their intensity level. Defense, aggression. The first half of the match was okay for us, but in the second half, we did a great job in defense, set up our attack. The players realised what level they have to meet. I bow my head to my players - they did a great job against a good team with a good coach. We are happy.

-The second half of the match was absolutely different for you. What did you say to your players in the locker room during the long break? As they came back to the court completely different…

-I was talking about the attack. We created proper situations for shots but missed a lot of them from open positions, missed from the penalty line. I told the players to leave the attack and focus on the defense and then our game will come to us. We put Kennedy and Stephens to defend against Amedeo Della Valle. This was key to the situation when the team started playing at their usual level in defense.

-What can you say about Issuf Sanon’s effective play today? He is not considered as a super shooter but he hit 4 out of 5 three-pointers today…

-Issuf hits well at the trainings. A high-level player must have a good shot. I hope, it will come as well as understanding of the game. It isn’t something new that Issuf has a great talent. However, he needs to be more consistent, to get all details in his head more organised as they are not always held together. Yes, it was a good game today but it should be constantly like this, more stable, more consistent.
