The comment of the head coach of BC “Prometey” after the team’s debut in the 7DAYS EuroCup:

“We were under pressure of responsibility as the team was playing in the EuroCup for the first time. Now we, of course, feel much better. I am satisfied. Not with the game itself, but with the attitude to it, that all players have demonstrated.
I told my basketball players, that it is impossible to play without any emotions considering the number of people from Ukraine, who arrived here taking all the risks on this long journey. It is just unbelievable to see them here. This is why we must give 100% on the court. Even if you are losing, for sure, give 100% to the game. Even one person, who came from Ukraine, is a huge support for us. We felt their support during the entire game. That is amazing, they came and we felt them! I can say, that was their strong desire that we succeed and win this match. That is incredible.
We played against a truly good team with a truly good coach. They are genuinely a “coach’s” team. We knew that we had to keep the pace of the game under control. Although, this is basketball. You cannot play all along at the same level. From time to time, we face fails and downs. Of course, everyone got nervous when we let our opponent closer in the score in the third quarter.
