Estonian club "Pärnu Sadam" on their Facebook page announced the signing of a contract with 23-year-old guard Vadym Kozak.
Kozak cut his teeth in Khimik, where he played for almost 10 years. Last season, in 28 Superleague games, Vadim averaged 5.7 points + 1.9 rebounds in 17 minutes.
Kozak played 27 matches for National teams of all age categories - from U16 to U20, scoring an average of 8.7 points per game in the blue and yellow uniform.
This year, "Pärnu Sadam" won the championship of Estonia and bronze of the Latvian-Estonian League for the first time. In the regular championship, LEBL finished seventh, but in the quarterfinals, they overcame BC "Kalev/Kramo", which was second in the standings. And in the semi-finals, they lost to the other Estonian team "KK Viimsi" by only two points and beat "Ogre" in the bronze medal match.
In the new season, "Pärnu" will play in the qualification of the Champions League, and in case of relegation - in the main round of the FIBA European Cup.
As a reminder, according to the LEBL rules, each Latvian and Estonian team can have one Ukrainian player in the team, who will not be considered as legionnaires in the matches of this tournament.
Kozak became the fifth Ukrainian player in the rival teams of "Prometey" in LEBL. Vitaly Zotov remained at “VEF” Riga, Andriy Voinalovich moved from the Latvian “Valmiera” to the Estonian “Tartu”, Oleksandr Kovlyar changed “Tartu” to “Kalev”, and Vitaly Shymanskyi signed a contract with the “Rakvere Tarvas” team.
