A road victory of “Prometey” over Romanian “Cluj-Napoca”, the 13th one since the start of the season in the EuroCup, kept for our team the leadership in Group A. As before, Spanish “Joventut” is one win behind. It became known after Spaniards managed to defeat Italian “Reyer Venice”, the last opponent of “Prometey” in the regular season, in a road match (80:74).
The failure of “Venice” swept it in fifth place before the last tour. The team has 9 successful matches out of 17. Lithuanian “Lietkabelis” and German “Ulm Ratiopharm” have one win more. After today’s tour, these two clubs have an advantage of the home court in the play-off first round.
French “Bourg” and Italian “Brescia” have 8 wins in 17 matches each. Turkish “Frutti Extra Bursaspor” closes the eight of the play-off teams participants.
