“Prometey” is opening a game programme of the current off-season with a match against Lithuanian “Gargzdai”. Through the most part of its history, the opponent of our team played in the lower Lithuanian divisions. The last season turned out to be a debut one in the elite league LKL. The team sat the penultimate, 11th place, with 6 wins in 33 matches.

Before the upcoming season, “Gargzdai” has ambitions that are far more significant: as minimum, to get a ticket to the LKL playoffs. For this purpose, the club made a large-scale team-formation back in July.

At this initial stage of “Prometey” preparation for the season, the upcoming sparring will by very useful for the team. “Red-and-white” will oppose to quite a well-coordinated rival with a high level of readiness, since the start of the LKL season is scheduled for the mid-September.

Ronen Ginzburg’s team is not making any special preparations for this confrontation. On the eve of the match, they will have two training sessions and on the game day – morning practice without considerable physical exertion.
